5/3/99 The following directions should be followed when migrating to 6611 release 4 code levels. It is recommended that any customer migrating to V1R4 go at least to level V1R4 NP00648. The following sequence is necessary because of a couple of migration anomalies we found. 1) When migrating from a pre-NP00600 level on V1R3, you should do either of the following A. First bring it up to V1R3 NP00600 and commit NP00600. Next apply and activate NP99935 or B. Apply NP99933. This will get you to V1R4 NP00644. After activating and committing it, apply NP00648 Note: Since both of the above methods require you to put on a new level and commit it, neither of the above options will allow a user to get back to their original level. With option A you could at least revert to V1R3 at NP00600. With option B you cannot go back to V1R3 because you commit NP99933. 2) When migrating from V1R3 at NP00600 or greater, you can directly apply NP99935 and activate it, taking you to V1R4 at NP00648. At this time you do not have to commit NP99935. Until you do commit NP99935 you can allways revert to your current levels by deactivating NP99935 Mike Sarisky
